Postcard from Hyderabad: Golconda Fort
I was playing the host to a friend who happened to drop in for the long weekend in Hyderabad. Well we then happened to visit the Golconda Fort which actually made Hyderabad famous much before it came to be known for the Indian city known for its biriyani or the Iranian tea. Golkonda actually comes from Golla Konda which is a Telugu word for Shepherd's Hill. Golconda was once the only known diamond mine in the whole wide world, for quite some time.
About the pics:
Men on a cobblestone path: on the right hand side of the pic were the barracks and the windows are of 6ft 5inch in height. That was also the least height for a man to enroll in the king’s army.
The pool: The water for royal use collected here after running off from places at a higher altitude ,nearby. Twenty men used to pump water with handpumps throughout the day in shifts.
A slope with fish-gill design: That’s the filter used for water purification.
Heavy weight- If you can carry this weight on your back, you are fit enough to be in the highness’s army.

Definition of a Governance system
As a daily habit Johnny was reading newspaper.
Suddenly he asked his father, " Dad! What does it mean by 'Governance
System' ? "
“It’s like...” father said while thinking, “See! I earn and bring money
to home, mean's I am a 'Money Holder'. Your mother decides where and how
to spend that money and that means she is 'Government'. That maid in our
home is doing all the household works, so she will be 'Labour Class'. You
are a 'Common man' or 'Public'. Your kid brother is 'Future' or the 'Next
Generation', understand?".
That day Johnny slept with all those thoughts. In the middle of the night
he woke-up because his kid brother was crying. He wetted the matrices so
he was crying. Johnny went to woke-up his mother. She was in deep sleep so
Johnny went to the Maiden's room to wake her up. But there his father
was sleeping with the maid. So he came back frustrated.
Next morning father asked Johnny, " Hey Johnny darling! You understood the
'Governance System'? ".
Johnny replied, “Yeah Dad, I understood! When Money Holder is exploiting
Labour Class, our Government is sleeping. Future of our nation is crying
for not getting their basic needs fulfilled and in all this Common Man is
suffering!"

Of late, I have been listening more and more to a few songs by Alanis
Morisette
"Uninvited
would reveal we share more in common than just the song. Discovery
No.2- Watching Alanis reveal her plans for her album-"Flavors of
Entanglement" with "Death Cab for Cutie-summer skin" playing in the
background was not odd in any sense of the word. It was all
accidental(playing both at the same time), but they felt so in sync.
